Award Authority

When the Engineer’s Estimate is entered/updated in the Project Input - Procurement tab, the Award Authority is automatically assigned in the database according to these rules: 

1. Construction Contracts, including Design Builds, Minor PW Construction Contracts and Service and Maintenance:
   1. If the Engineer’s Estimate is less than $1M, then the Award Authority is set to Director.
   2. Otherwise, it is assumed the Engineer’s Estimate is $1M or greater, and the Award Authority is set to City Council.
2. Consultant Agreements, and all the other agreements we have set up that aren’t above:
   1. If the Engineer’s Estimate is less than $250K, then the Award Authority is set to City Manager.
   2. Otherwise, it is assumed the Engineer’s Estimate is $250K or greater, and the Award Authority is set to City Council.
