Survey

• They want to convert the written logbook into a digital format that can be connected with SharePoint

  • Right now it feels like they want the internal logbook system that LMS have where MTL can create work request themselves

  • They want to assign their staff for a work request

• They want the long term goal is for PMs and Inspectors to make work request for them but right now they are okay with Survey to add the request themselves

• They have a couple of workflow that is through email and they want to move it to the web application

  • For example, MTL has test sample work request and the request to from the web application and not through email.

  • For example, they have a work request called topo request, where they have a pdf form that gets sent to the PM/Inspector. PM fill it out and email back to them the request.

    • This is very similar to how MTL used to do their Submittal Reviews until LMS - My Request got deployed

• Survey said most of their request are “external” aka people outside the Survey team but still within the city of SJ.

  • They do not want contractor/consultant to create work request as they can create that work request themselves (But they would want to send file to people outside the city)

• They want to utilize file management system to be able share files to people both outside the city and internal to the city

  • They want to basically share some files with external users "Contractors/Consultant"
