OEA Tab
The OEA Tab feature in CPMS captures the information contained in Part II of the PWCR. This section is used to request a Contract Compliance Specialist for your Public Works project.

Benefits of the CPMS OEA Tab:
Streamlined communication.
PWCR Part II request is automatically sent to the Contract Compliance Coordinator responsible for your division’s Public Works projects.
Removes the back-and-forth emails that occur when a PWCR request is sent to the wrong contact.
PWC-100 form is automatically sent to your inbox to be executed.

To request a Contract Compliance Specialist, press the blue “Edit” button located at the top left
Upon selecting the blue “Edit” button, the OEA Tab screen will transition to allowing the project manager to “Notify OEA” of a request to assign a Contract Compliance Specialist for the project.
Below is a sample of the new OEA Tab screen upon pressing the “Edit” button:
To request a Contract Compliance Specialist, press the “Notify OEA Team” button.
The best time for a PM to click the “Notify OEA” button is after the bid opening has occurred and the project has been awarded, no later than two-weeks before the preconstruction meeting.
Upon pressing the blue “Notify OEA Team” button, the supervising Contract Compliance Coordinator will be notified of your request for an assigned Contract Compliance Specialist. Once the supervising Contactor Compliance Coordinator has assigned your Contract Compliance Specialist, you will receive an email from cpmsteachteam@sanjoseca.gov notifying you of your new assigned Contract Compliance Specialist.

Q: What happens if you have more than one City, State, or Federal Fund? Can you separate with commas?
A: Yes. Separate funds with commas or semi-colons
Q: Can you confirm that once the form is generated, it goes right into the OEA folder in CPMS?
A: ?
Q: What about for general engineering/On-Call contracts?
A: On-Call contracts are to be notified through CPMS, but the closeout process does not apply until the contract has been fully exhausted
