Main SharePoint FAQ
What will happen to files stored on the network/local drives?
Nothing right away. But soon, the Network drives will be “read only” which means that all Project Files will need to be on the Sharepoint site.
Can CAD files be referenced if stored on the cloud?
Yes, though re-mapping may be required depending on how the files were referenced.
Can I add subfolders?
Yes, you can add as many subfolders as you like. You just cannot change or add to the 14 “Primary” Folders.
Can I add subfolder numbers?
Not at this time. There are certain files that are automatically generated and look for specific folders in the SharePoint Location. If those folders are altered, this will generate errors. This might be something that we look at in the future, if there is a demand, but for now we would prefer that all the template folders remain un-numbered.
What are the LMS and CMS folders?
LMS is Lab Management System folder where Materials Lab will be storing their material review responses.
CMS Folder is still under the planning stages. More information will be coming soon.
Legacy SharePoint FAQ
Why are only some of the folders showing up when I click the Legacy SharePoint link?
Folders were only transferred if they had files in them. If the folders were empty, they weren't transferred.
